Teacher Training Course for FFL Teachers in Nice

Teaching French as a Foreign Language often means juggling grammar, creativity, energy, improvisation… and sometimes three whiteboard markers that stop working at 8 a.m.

Good news: this summer, alpha.b invites you to enjoy a sunny and inspiring pedagogical break in Nice — a chance to recharge your batteries, exchange ideas with teachers from around the world, and leave with a suitcase full of practical ideas for your future classes.

From July 20th to July 31st, 2026, our teacher training course for FFL teachers brings together passionate, curious, and creative educators for two weeks in the warm and friendly atmosphere that has defined the Alpha.b spirit for more than 30 years.

Here, we take learning seriously… without taking ourselves too seriously.

A Course Designed by Teachers, for Teachers

Forget endless theoretical lectures spent silently watching slides go by.

At alpha.b, participants experiment, exchange ideas, test activities, and reflect together on practical classroom solutions.

Each morning is dedicated to language development and teaching practices through authentic materials, debates, games, role plays, and collaborative workshops.

The programme includes:

• teaching grammar in new and creative ways;
• developing speaking skills through a communicative approach;
• using songs, stories, images, and authentic documents in class;
• discovering fun and interactive activities;
• reflecting on group dynamics and learner motivation;
• sharing ideas, successful experiences… and sometimes the most unexpected classroom anecdotes.

Varied Workshops and Real Cultural Immersion

Afternoons offer the opportunity to explore different teaching approaches while enjoying the exceptional setting of the French Riviera.

Throughout the course, participants discover a wide range of themes: classroom games, digital tools, phonetics, French songs, sensory activities, and the pedagogical use of images.

And because learning also happens outside the classroom, cultural visits and discovery activities are also included.

Between two workshops, it is not uncommon to discuss pedagogy overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, over a coffee on a sunny terrace, or during a walk through Old Nice.

The alpha.b Spirit

What participants often remember most after their stay is not only the pedagogical content.

It is also the atmosphere.

At alpha.b, groups remain small and friendly, exchanges are easy and supportive, and everyone quickly finds their place. Participants share lesson ideas, experiences, cultures… and often a few favourite local addresses in Nice.
