alpha.b Institut Linguistique is pleased to announce that our school remains certified by the Qualité français langue étrangère certification.

The re-inspection took place in June 2019 and later on in July the inter-ministerial commission awarded our school with the maximum of 3 stars in all inspected fields :

What is the Qualité français langue étrangère certification ?

The certification was set up in 2007 by 3 ministries :

• Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research
• Ministry for Culture and Communication
• Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Developments

The certification was created to better promote the French language outside France but also to promote centers and schools offering French courses to foreign students in France.

The certification places a strong focus on the quality of services offered by these French language centers.

It is based on 5 fields like stated above in order to guarantee the best possible quality to French language learners.

Its aim is to guide any person wishing to learn French in France and to help them to easily and rapidly identify a liable French language program.

What does it mean when a center has been awarded 3 stars ?

Stars are awarded in each field from 1, 2 or a maximum of 3 stars.

3 stars certify that a center highly satisfies the quality requirements of the framework.

When a center is awarded 3 stars in every field, it means that it has implemented this high quality level for any aspect of your language stay: from the very first contact per e-mail, over the phone or via the website until the end of your language stay.

Our pedagogic staff and all teachers are highly qualified in teaching French as a foreign language and undergo further training to keep up to date on modern teaching methods. This will help you to learn French more effectively.

All our accommodation types (host families, hotels, residences) match very strict requirements and are inspected several times a year by our in house accommodation service. On spot you will always find an alpha.b staff member to talk to about your accommodation and who will make sure that you enjoy your stay in Nice.

Our classrooms are constantly renovated to meet at the best the expectations of our students: air condition, fiber optic for your Internet use, creation of a lounge in the private school garden for your breaks, tablets and video projector for lively and interactive French lessons…

By choosing a certified center, you have the guarantee that the CIEP (Centre International d’études pédagogiques) carried out an audit and inspected each of the 5 fields.

This audit takes place every 4 years and encourages a school to be in a permanent research of improvement for the quality of teaching, premises and student welcome.
