You should also be aware that our activity coordinators are available during the breaks and outside of lessons to help you with your ‘French life.’ They can show you where you can rent a bike or a car or explain how you can take part in some sporting activities: tennis, rafting, canoeing, deep-sea diving or even skiing. They can help you find a bar, a horse riding club, a salsa evening, a concert…
Moreover, in order to ensure that your stay in Nice is full of unforgettable feelings and encounters, our activity coordinators will offer you a large choice of cultural and leisure activities to complement your French lessons.
All activities are led in French in accordance to your level of understanding. There are guided trips to Cannes, Monaco, Saint Paul de Vence and Grasse, French film screenings, themed nights, quiz nights and surprise parties, conferences, debates, theatre outings, wine and cheese tasting, guided visits of museums, beach volleyball competitions, pétanque, participation in different events across the Cote d’Azur, etc…
NB: Certain activities, for example entry to museums and theatre tickets as well as transport costs are paid on the premises at a negotiated price. We do not take any commission or profit margin from the activities that we offer.
Sports Options
SAILING (July - August)
Every afternoon, from 2pm onwards, from Monday to Friday and for two weeks, you will be taught how to sail. (10 sessions of around 3 hours each).
You will learn on a catamaran, with monitors that are certified by the French Sailing Federation.
After a few theory sessions, you will soon be out on one of the most stunning seas in the world: the Mediterranean.
The team supervising the students is made up of monitors who have experience in teaching people from all different horizons. As much as possible, the sessions will be carried out in French.
360 € = 2 weeks - Including insurance and the loan of equipment
UNDERWATER DIVING (May – October)
8 sessions from Monday to Thursday over two weeks.
Every session is preceded by a briefing to the dive that will follow. You will be taken by boat to the dive, supervised by certified monitors (PADI Gold Palm). Lessons are only devoted to teaching, practice and exploration. Theory is done via internet “PADI e-learning”.
At the end of this course, you will be awarded the PADI 1st level. If you wish to do this exam, you will have to pay an extra fee of 40 € directly to the diving club.
A blend of sport, relaxation, and solidarity whilst learning a language, this course is certainly a wonderful experience.
Underwater Diving: 410 € = 2 weeks - Including insurance and the loan of equipment
Remark
- Parents of minors must provide a certificate permitting their child to do the sport that is chosen.
- The following documents should be provided: A medical aptitude certificate, a certificate issued by the competent authority in your country showing you can swim at least 50 metres.
-You are asked to present to the a.m. documents at the ALPHA.B office at the beginning of your course.
